Update 30-jun-2010: check out information on the PortableApps version of OpenOffice – which also includes Portable Java to ensure that your portable OS works on Java sites (in the case of Firefox), and that the Java features of OpenOffice also run!

    The base installer download is … 171Mb!!
    20Mb more than Oo3.1 , how big will that be when it’ll extract on my PC?

    This might answer your dilemma – another alternative might be to run OpenOffice on a USB stick.
